Who We Are?

The story of Ergün Emiroğulları creating the ERTEK brand:

ERTEK was founded in 1993 by our founder Ergün Emiroğulları with the goal of ‘Technology-Quality-Service.’ However, Ergün Emiroğulları’s first step in his professional career dates back much earlier; it began in 1972 at Lefke Male Art School.

After his electrical training at the art school, in 1976, he was sent to Turkey, to the Baykal Machinery facilities in Bursa, for vocational training with state support. Upon his return, before starting college in 1977, he worked at Hakkı Nasipoğlu’s company. However, due to the political conditions of the time, he had to leave his education in Ankara in 1980 and return to Cyprus.

In 1983, he took his first step in the private sector with Yıldız Elektrik partnership. He considers these years as a struggle to stand under difficult conditions at a young age.

In 1988, he served as the Electrical Department site supervisor for the Jasmine Court Hotel project at Pearl Construction Ltd., owned by Asil Nadir. These projects facilitated the arrival and implementation of advanced technologies in Cyprus. The completion of Jasmine Court Hotel was significant in terms of professional experience.

Next, he took on all electrical works of AN Graphich (Kıbrıs Gazetesi), the largest printing and newspaper facility in Northern Cyprus, owned by Asil Nadir, laying the foundations for ERTEK. It operated under the name ‘Doğa Elektrik’ until it was registered as ERTEK Electrical Systems Ltd. in 1993.

Initially, through the hard work and sacrifices of Ergün Emiroğulları and his team, ERTEK strengthened quickly. They actively participated in factories and large construction projects, using new technologies to solve complex engineering challenges.

Since the beginning of its service life, management and staff, engineers, and workers have worked together, shaping ERTEK’s sincere and collaborative management style.

The Company's Historical Milestones and Developments

  • Establishment of ERTEK Electrical Systems Ltd.
  • Our first factory project, Feris of London, a sewing factory, was completed. (Export of denim and other apparel to the UK).
The Cypri Cola Co. Ltd (EVSU) facilities, which is the first water and cola production factory in Northern Cyprus, were completed.
The completion of Delta Marina-Girne, the first private marina project in Northern Cyprus.
The Illumination project of Bellapais Monastery, one of the symbols of Cyprus, has been completed.
The renovation of the facilities and installation of fire alarm systems for the United Nations-owned camps in Mağusa Sefanik and Lefke Rocca have been completed.
The completion of Astro Lefkoşa, the first hypermarket project in Northern Cyprus.
As part of the steps taken towards institutionalization, the company has moved to a new building.
The Gürdağ Brick Factory, one of the largest brick factories on the island of Cyprus, was completed.
The completion of The Colony Hotel – Girne, our first 5-star hotel project implemented by ERTEK.
The completion of Cyprus Central Hospital (Mağusa Tıp Merkezi), the first private hospital project in Northern Cyprus.
Güney Kıbrıs’ta gerçekleştirdiğimiz ilk proje, Kıbrıs Üniversitesi Laboratuvar projesi tamamlanmıştır.
The electrical works for the ODTÜ Preparatory School and the largest Congress Cultural Center in Northern Cyprus have been completed.
The foundation of the ERTEK Panel Factory was laid in Famagusta.
  • The legal status of the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association (KTEMB), led by ERTEK’s founder, under his presidency and in collaboration with colleagues in the profession, marked a significant milestone.
  • The completion of the 5-star Golden Tulip Hotel Project in Lefkoşa.
A new addition to the 5-star hotel projects: The Malpas Hotel & Casino in Çatalköy-Girne.
The full-fledged private hospital project, Medikent Hospital (Kolon) in Gönyeli, has been completed.
The electrical works for the Karpaz Gate Marina project, the largest marina in Northern Cyprus with a capacity for 300 boats, have been completed.
All electrical works for the 5-star Noah’s Ark Deluxe Hotel & Spa in Bafra have been completed.
Keystone Construction Ltd. joined the ERTEK Group to provide services in the construction sector.
Our first 5-star hotel project abroad, Leogrand Batumi in Georgia, has been completed.
ERTEK Group shareholder Hüseyin Doğa Emiroğulları established Otomatica Automation Control and Software Services Ltd. in Istanbul.
The 1 MW Solar Energy System (SES) project at the Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus (METU NCC) has been completed.
ERTEK Panel Factory commenced certified production by obtaining type test approval from accredited institutions for the panels it produces.
The completion of the Elite North Cyprus I.V.F & Genetic Institution.
Our company has obtained the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification.
  • The capacity of ERTEK Panel Factory has been increased, and type tests for CE declaration have been obtained.
  • On-grid and off-grid Solar Energy System projects for Vodafone Mobiles Ltd. have been completed.
The supply and installation of main panels and busbar lines in the Northernland Premier project have been completed.
The supply and installation of main panels and busbar lines in the Northernland Grandsapphire A-block project have been completed.
