Electric Contracting

Electric Contracting

Ertek Electric Systems LTD, established in 1993, is the cornerstone of the Ertek Group, and it began its contracting services within this company.

Among the legal documents required to implement electrical works in Northern Cyprus is the 1st Class Authorization Certificate of the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association (KTEMB). Additionally, the KIB-TEK Electrification 1st Class Authorization Certificate is required to carry out infrastructure energy transmission and distribution systems in medium voltage and within the Kıb-Tek structure.

This entity, providing panel manufacturing, electrical contracting project management, and renewable energy services, employs 60 people full-time. Depending on the projects, it employs more than 100 people and offers job opportunities to many subcontractors.

In both domestic and international settings, 5-star hotel projects, data center projects, industrial facilities, schools, shopping centers, and mass housing projects receive services in medium voltage, low voltage, and weak current systems, energy management, automation, and the measurement and control technologies required until the energy reaches the end-user. Integrated security systems and technical structure management services are also provided.

Areas We Serve;

High Voltage and Medium Voltage Services

In Northern Cyprus, the high voltage values used are determined as 66 kV (66,000 V) and 132 kV (132,000 V). For instance, the Nicosia-Guzelyurt Network is supplied with a voltage of 132 kV, while the Geçitkale-Famagusta Network is supplied with a voltage of 66 kV. Over lines longer than 230 kilometers, ‘extra high’ voltages are used. Extra high voltage networks are those using voltages above 154 kV.

Medium voltage networks, on the other hand, encompass voltage values between 1000 volts and 22,000 volts in our country and are connected to low voltage networks.

High and Medium Voltage (HV and MV) services, including production, transmission, and distribution, are entirely provided by the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK). Companies holding the KIB-TEK electrification License and also being members of the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association (KTEMB) can offer HV and MV services to KIB-TEK. Ertek Electric Systems Ltd., owned by Ertek Group, is a member with a 1st Class KIB-TEK Electrification Certificate and KTEMB’s 1st class authorization certificate.

Low Voltage Services

In our country, the single-phase voltage of the AC energy we use in daily life, workplaces, and industry is 240V, and the three-phase voltage is 415V.

Electrical devices used in Northern Cyprus are produced to comply with this voltage level. To import these devices into the country, a conformity certificate from the Chamber of Electrical Engineers (EMO) is required. Low voltage networks range from 0 to 1 kV (1000V).

Weak Current Systems

As Ertek Group, we aim to enhance the safety, information flow, communication, control and regulation, management, and quality of life in buildings according to the needs of structures and people inside. To achieve this goal, we provide a range of services such as fire detection, public address, CCTV, access control, SCADA, automation, telephone, data, satellite, and more.

We specialize in the design, engineering, consultancy, and implementation of weak current systems. With the continuous advancement of global technology, weak current systems are becoming more comprehensive and functional.
...

We particularly aim to elevate the quality of human life in projects such as 5-star hotels, critical projects, public service buildings, conference halls, and business centers. We tailor our designs to the specific needs to ensure the sustainability of buildings and installed systems.

The design, planning, and implementation of weak current systems are done according to these principles. The technical specifications of systems to be used in all structures should be carefully selected in advance, and the implementation process should be carried out by qualified individuals. Since these systems will operate 24/7, their implementation must be supervised by expert engineers and technicians. As Ertek Group, we meet these requirements with a full-time staff of at least 30 electrical and electronic engineers and at least 40 technicians, along with our corporate quality certifications.

For the sustainability and long-term efficiency of systems, we have regular inspection and maintenance teams.

Key weak current systems we design and implement include:
• Fire Detection and Alarm Systems
• SCADA and Energy Monitoring Automation Systems
• Critical Facility Digitalization System
• Data Center Systems
• Facility Lifecycle Services
• Facility Infrastructure and Operations Consultancy Services
• Data Systems
• Structural Cabling Systems
• Public Address and Emergency Announcement Systems
• Video Conferencing and Professional Audio Broadcasting Systems
• Access Control Systems
• Parking Systems
• Professional Stage Lighting Systems
• Casino CCTV and General Security CCTV Systems
• Lighting Automation Systems
• HVAC Automation Systems

Energy Systems

The discovery of electrical energy by Benjamin Franklin in 1752 and Michael Faraday’s introduction of the first Faraday disk, or electric generator, in 1831 marked electricity as an indispensable component in every aspect of society’s social and economic life.

To ensure the supply of energy obtained from renewable or non-renewable sources to end-users, our team of expert engineers and technicians under the Ertek Group provides project design, engineering, consultancy, and implementation services.

Let your projects come true with us...
